Kooti (Kail) Goat Breed
Kooti
goats are found in Almut, Kail, and Shonther in Azad Kashmir of Pakistan. This breed has
black and white patches on their body. The body, head, and ears are small. Their
small horns are spiraled. The legs are short and sturdy.
Milk yield is 0.7 liters daily on normal fodder. Adult males and females weigh 20 and 15
kg respectively.
Special Consideration
These
goats are best fitted for nomads' grazing areas
in the cold atmosphere for meat & hair purposes. The doe on average
