Gaddi (White Himalayan) Goat Breed
The breed derives its name from the unsettled tribe ―Gaddi, which unremarkably keeps this breed. Gaddi is a medium-sized goat breed, well-built and with long hair, long spiral horns directed upward and backward with pointed tips, long drooping ears, and a convex nose line. The coat color is mostly white bright but some animals with black, brown, or tan markings are also found. The udder is small and rounded, with small teats placed laterally. It is a registered goat breed found in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Himalia Mountain’s range of Pakistan. Special Considerations These goats are highly suited for a usual migratory production system as practiced by these sheep or cattle farmers since ages. The doe on average produces a half liter of milk daily on normal fodder. Review the full breed profile of the Gaddi goat in the following chart. Gaddi Goat | Breed Profile Breed Name Gaddi Other ...
