Jattan Goat Breed
This breed is named after the camel-raising tribes of Jats in Sindh. Jattan goats are found in the irrigated areas of Mirpur-Khas district bordering Thar desert of Pakistan. Jattan goat breed is a very beautiful breed. Their color is fawn, red or black. This is a large-sized breed with long legs. The medium drooping ears are white and splashed with fawn, red or black. Males have a black ring around the base of the neck. Males and females are both horned. Milk yield is 3 liters daily on normal fodder. Adult males and females weigh 60 and 50 kg, respectively. Special Consideration These goats are best fitted for commercial goat farms and grazing areas in hot areas for meat and milk purposes.
