Koh-e-Ghizer Goat Breed

                                                   This breed is named due to its area name “Ghizer” is the North most of the Northern Areas of Pakistan. Ghizer District is a very very beautiful area in Pakistan. The Ghizer District’s highest peak is Koyo Zum (6,871 m) (Hindu Kush Range) which lies on the boundary of Ghizer District. Koh-e-Ghizer breed is medium in size. Their color is black with white patches on the belly and brown rings around the eyes. The head is small and the ears drooping. Males are horned and most females are polled. Milk yield is 1 liter daily on normal fodder. Adult males' and females' weight is 40 and 35 kg, respectively.   Special Consideration These goats are best fitted for nomad grazing areas in the very cold atmospheres for meat purposes.
